The borders are shut. People across the UK are being sent to a ‘Facility’, to ensure they have children, either with their current partners or with an assigned partner. The sea is one person’s only escape, but she is followed by the ghosts of those who attempted to flee before her.

Scene Sketches
The director and I agreed on having six panels, which the chorus push into place throughout the show. The different layouts create each individual scene of the play, and the moving of the panels was choreographed to fit within the events of the story.

I used a reflective window film to play with the level of opacity and reflectiveness of the panels. Props were stored on stage, in shipping containers.
